She sent one of her maids to bring it to her so that she might see what was in the curious box. ![]() But she was glad that God had made a way for her baby boy to stay alive. Pharaohs daughter, with her maids, came down to the river, and they saw the ark floating on the water, among the reeds. Moses’s real mommy was sad that she had to give him to Pharaoh’s daughter. When the baby boy grew older, the mommy had to take her boy back to Pharaoh’s daughter and he became her son instead. along by the rivers side and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her. ![]() Pharaoh’s daughter said to the mommy, “Take this baby and feed him for me, and I will pay you to take care of him.” So the mommy took the baby home. 5 And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river. So the sister ran as fast as she could and got the baby boy’s mommy! Pharaoh’s daughter liked that idea, “Yes.” She went right up to Pharaoh’s daughter and said, “Do you want me to go get a mommy who can feed and take care of this baby for you? Then when he is old enough you can have him back.” Then the baby’s sister ran out from the bushes where she had been watching. I am going to keep him and take care of him.” But, I am not going to throw this baby into the river. When she opened the basket, she saw a baby - a little boy, crying! She felt sorry for the crying baby and said, “Aw, this is one of the little Israelite boys that my father said we have to throw in the river. She noticed the basket in the water and sent one of her servants to get it. Then an Egyptian lady came down to wash herself by the river. She told the little baby’s older sister, Miriam, “Hide in the bushes and watch over the basket to see what happens.” She put the baby boy in the floating basket and hid the basket in the water on the edge of the river. She made a floating basket for him, like a little boat. The mommy realized she wouldn’t be able to keep her baby boy hidden much longer. So she hid the baby boy for three months.īut as he got older he started moving around more and would sometimes cry loudly. She was not afraid of the Pharaoh, and she trusted God. When she saw him, she decided she would try to hide him from the people who would throw him in the river. One day, a mommy gave birth to a little baby, a boy. The Pharaoh was so mad, he gave this order to all his people: “Every Israelite boy that is born you must throw into the river.” And the fishermen will lament, And all those who cast a line into the Nile will mourn, And those who spread nets on the waters will pine away.Moses : God’s Future Plan Escapes in a BasketĮven though the Egyptians made God’s children slaves and worked them too hard, God’s children kept growing, growing, growing. Not only did baby Moses get to live, but his own mother got to take care of him. She called to one of her servant girls: ‘Go get that basket for me.’ When the princess opened the basket, what a beautiful baby she saw Little Moses was crying, and the princess felt sorry for him. And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river. "So I will incite Egyptians against Egyptians And they will each fight against his brother and each against his neighbor, City against city and kingdom against kingdom. He told everyone in Egypt that, if they saw a baby boy among the Israelites, they were to take the baby boy and throw him into the Nile River so that he would.
